Watering Wonderland with Cellfast

Landscape contractors, gardeners, turf maintenance contractors, landscapers, facility management companies and gadget-geeks … Prepare to revel in the award-winning Cellfastâ range of garden hoses and accessories recently launched in South Africa. This easy to use, click-coupling watering system is excellent value for money, requires minimal assembly and will add both style and efficiency to time in your landscaped space.

Designed and manufactured in Poland, the Cellfastâ system includes everything from static sprinklers and quick connectors to hose carts and reels. But it’s the hoses themselves that are really clever, featuring a special inner layer to prevent algae build-up inside and an outer layer providing a temperature resistance of +60 degrees to -20 degrees. In addition, the combination of a simple tricot and cross reinforcement make the hoses extremely resistant to twisting and tangling, ensuring the highest durability.

“One of the hoses in the Cellfastâ range is compliant with food safety standards,” says WHS’s Marketing Director Shelley Galliver. “It’s specially designed for watering herbs and vegetable gardens as no toxins are released onto the plants.”

There is also an irrigation hose in the Cellfastâ range. The three-tube irrigation hose comes with a set of nozzles and guarantees even watering for the whole length of the hose, which saves water and time.

All components of the Cellfastâ watering system are compatible with accessories and garden sprinklers of other brands available on the South African market. The Cellfastâ manual and digital water timers are ideal for not-so-keen gardeners or anyone wanting to be waterwise, while hose hangers and carts make storage and care of the hoses effortless.

Replacement parts like O-rings and tap connectors are universal and readily available. Double distributors, three-connectors, extension connectors and repair connectors are just a few of the devices that make the Cellfastâ range easy to customise and size, whether you live in a townhouse with a tiny patch of lawn or cultivate a vast floral landscape.

An extended clench mechanism used in the Cellfastâ hose quick connectors and hose repairers enables easy, durable and tight connection with hoses of various wall thicknesses.

The forward-thinking, new-age Cellfastâ watering system was built in accordance with the modern definition of design, coupling functionality with ergonomics, and as a result has won numerous international awards in the field of industrial design. In 2015, Cellfastâ was honoured with an ‘Oscar of Design’, which is the Red Dot Award, and in 2017, the company received the iF Design Award – one of the most important design awards in the world.

Other products in the Cellfastâ garden range include lawn edges, made of a waterproof flexible material, which prevents grass from overgrowing, perfectly separating lawn from cultivated flower beds. The lawn edges are also UV- and frost-proof.

The Cellfastâ range is distributed exclusively in Sub-Saharan Africa by WHD, a division of WHS and is available at leading DIY and hardware stores nationwide. Visit cellfast.co.za for more information.
