An engagement across Landscape, Architecture and Urban Design hosted by PIA – UDISA – ILASA

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US FOR AN ENGAGEMENT ACROSS LANDSCAPE, ARCHITECTURE AND URBAN DESIGN!

Although cross/multi‐disciplinary thinking is not new, what is of interest is the discussion on how this
idea plays out on a day‐to‐day in practice.
Speaker 1. (UDISA / Urban Designer) ‐ Guy Briggs from DHK (Cape Town).
Speaker 2. (SAIA / Architect) – Monica Albonico from Albonico Sack Metacity (Johannesburg).
Speaker 3. (ILASA / Landscape Architect) Anton Comrie from GREENinc (Johannesburg).
Moderator ‐ Marianne de Klerk from Marianne de Klerk Architects and Urban Designers (Pretoria).
The event objective is directed to members of the three institutes represented (UDISA, ILASA, SAIA) with the idea to improve future collaboration and to make room for engagement.
Each guest speaker will reflect/talk on the following questions:
What is the mandate of a bona fide designer in your respective discipline?
What reflections do you have on engagement with other design disciplines in practice?
