National Arbor Week kicks off on the first official day of Spring – this Thursday, 1 September 2016. To celebrate, the GBCSA invites its members and all Planet Shapers to join us in pledging a tree to be planted at an undergreen urban setting with a specific focus on schools.

Our target is to pledge 300 trees during Arbor Week (1 – 7 September 2016) and we need your help to do it.

Western Cape members can pledge through Greenpop at a cost of R120 per tree (or R140 for a tree with GPS coordinates) and Gauteng members via Willow Feather Farm at a cost of R150 per tree.  In both cases, indigenous trees will be planted and the tree planting will be used as an opportunity to educate the scholars and community about trees and their importance in the eco-system.

Please email marketing@gbcsa.org.za to make your pledge.

Members that pledge will be profiled in the GBCSA newsletter, website and social media.  An announcement of contribution will be noted at the 2017 GBCSA convention.
